The Nordic Lux Network reaches further north with this Edition, as we welcome Whiteout Svalbard into the Collection as our selected Arctic experience partner.

Whiteout is an Arctic condition in which the sky and snow merge, shadows disappear and the horizon is lost. It demands calm judgement, experience and absolute attention to what matters — and it is exactly the philosophy this team brings to every journey in Svalbard.

Whiteout Svalbard is a specialist operator based in Longyearbyen, bringing together experienced guides and field professionals with deep local knowledge, strong operational judgement and vast expertise in the Arctic wilderness.

Behind it stands a team with decades in the field: Fredric Borchgrevink, with more than 20 years in Svalbard and course director for the Red Cross; Ida Olsson, member of The Explorers Club who has skied to the North Pole; Thor Elvebakk, with more than 20 years of guiding and leadership in Arctic and mountain environments; Sara Borchgrevink, with more than 10 years in tourism management and outdoor operations; and Ryan Hope-Inglis, with more than 13 years in polar guiding and leadership.

Three things define Whiteout: local expertise — substantial knowledge of Svalbard's terrain, weather and operational reality; safety — preparation, risk awareness and sound decisions come first; and a tailored approach, where every plan is shaped around the client, conditions and objective.
